An understanding of the relevance of anatomy to clinical practice is fundamental for medical students and young doctors. For this reason most of the questions in this self-assessment book are presented as case histories or clinical puzzles that require anatomical information for their elucidation. This will confirm the importance of basic anatomy to the clinical situation in line with modern teaching practices which encourage problem solving and will facilitate effective student-centred learning enabling the reader to assess his/her own progress.
This book covers the whole field of topographical (gross) anatomy, regional, systematic and clinical, and as anatomy is essentially a visual subject, high quality full colour illustrations are included along with radiographs, MRI and CT images which will benefit visual appreciation of important anatomical features.
